VISIBILITY
DAY CLASS Day (D) garments are made from high visibility fabrics| and are designed to keep you safe by allowing you to be more visible during daylight. Garments are tested and comply with AS/NZS 1906.4:2010 & AS 4602.1:2011. Note: Retro- reflective tape does not contribute to visibility during normal daylight conditions.
UPF RATING 50+, 30, 15 Ultra Violet Protection Factor (UPF) measures ultraviolet radiation from the sun. UPF 15 - Minimum protection UPF 30 - Good protection UPF 50, 50+ - Excellent protection A rating of 50+ is the highest rating and is defined as excellent protection from the sun.
DAY & NIGHT CLASS Day/Night (D/N) is a combination of both Day (D) and Night (N) standards as listed. These garments are manufactured using a specified design of both high visibility fabric and retro-reflective tape. Combining the benefits of both fabric and tape configurations allows you to be seen more easily, both day and night. Garments are tested and comply with AS/NZS 1906.4:2010 & AS 4602.1:2011.
SHOWERPROOF A showerproof garment will keep you dry and comfortable in a light rain shower. These garments will not provide the same level of protection as a waterproof garment.
STATIC CONTROL Standard AS/NZS 1020:1995 is The Control of Undesirable Static Electricity. Cotton fibres naturally do not hold or generate static electricity which makes it the perfect choice for use in industrial workwear.
NIGHT CLASS Night (N) garments are made from non high visibility fabrics and use retro- reflective tape as a means of keeping you visible - reflecting light back towards the source allowing you to be seen more easily at night-time and in low light conditions. Garments are tested and comply with AS/NZS 1906.4:2010 & AS 4602.1:2011.
WATERPROOF These garments have been manufactured using fabrics with a waterproof finish, coating or dual membranes to avoid water penetration. Dual protection seams have been heat sealed to keep you dry and comfortable. Garments are tested and comply with AS 2001.2 .17 -1987. (Hydrostatic Pressure Test)
RAIL COMPLIANT AS 7471:2019 Garments specifically design for Rail industry are required to meet AS 7471:2019. Some sectors have their preferred reflective tape configurations - like X back pattern.
REFLECTIVE Australian compliant reflective tape provides you with additional visibility protection.
