WHAT? Earnnest is a secure, digital earnest money transfer platform that integrates seamlessly with Dotloop, allowing buyers to send funds directly from their bank account to our K&P Trust Account— no checks, no wire fraud risk, no office drop-offs. COST? Free for agents. Buyers pay a small transaction fee (typically around $18-$25 ) when sending earnest money through the platform. WHERE? Available within your Dotloop transaction dashboard whenever earnest money is required. You’ll see a prompt to “Request Earnest Money” after contract execution. WHY USE EARNEST? Earnest makes earnest money effortless and secure. • Integrated with Dotloop – no extra logins • Eliminates checks and wires • Reduces fraud risk • Fast, trackable, and professional • Branded to your team for a polished buyer experience Using Earnest means less chasing, more closing — and a smoother process for your clients. DO YOU STILL ACCEPT TRADITIONAL PAYMENTS? Yes! Earnest money receipts are handled by the front desk. We allow check or certified funds. Those can be dropped off at the front desk and the client (or you) will be provided with a receipt. REQUESTING EARNEST MONEY It is our standard practice for agents to not take EM to a closing but for the EM to be netted out of the commission and then reimbursed. However, if you need a EM check for a closing just let accounting know at least 48 hours prior.
