LIE #9: If I turn my life over to God, I’m dead meat. The Satanists will kill me!
There are two things you should know. First, not to turn your life over to God is to lose both your soul and your body forever. Think with me: imagine a piece of chalk the size of a telephone pole (huge!), and there is a chalkboard that stretches for hundreds of miles. Now visualize taking that big piece of chalk and making a little thin line that goes and goes until the chalk runs out. Now, think of that as a time line, sort of like eternity, but of course with eternity the chalk never runs out. Now, at the front end of that line, put a tiny little dot that represents your whole life here on earth. First, does it matter whether there is a God? Of course! If there is no God, you might as well erase the line, because the moment you die, the party is over, forever. On the other hand, since we both believe in life after death, the moment you die you step into eternity: heaven or hell.
