Tell us about your business Davies Ltd was established in Fairview in Dublin in 1933. In 2003, to cater for rapid and renewed expansion in the construction industry, Davies relocated to its present custom-built facility at Harmonstown Road, Raheny. Davies Raheny sits on a four-acre site with over 40,000sq feet of warehousing. We have the following divisions: Civils & Drainage, Residential & Commercial, Plumbing & Heating and Bathrooms & Distribution. We stock a wide range of products covering all those divisions. We have
in-house engineering teams to assist consultants on specification and sizing of residential and commercial products such as heat pumps, chillers, air-handling units, boilers, buffer tanks and heat exchangers. We also offer CPD presentations to consultants and mechanical contractors. In 2018, Davies opened a second branch in Sallynoggin Dublin. This enabled the business to cater for local installers and clients in South Dublin. What motivated your recent investment in a trade counter refurbishment? To modernise our trade counter and
to give our customers a more efficient service. We have completely gutted the old counter and display area and replaced it with new product display stands and a purpose-built trade counter, offering our staff a better working environment and our customers a better service. We have brought the fast-moving stock behind the counter, making it faster for our staff to locate goods, which in turn makes the process more efficient and helps us get our customers back to their jobs more quickly. With more product on display, it enables us to show our customers everything we
