DON’T GET LEFT OUT IN THE COLD
Demand for home energy upgrades is booming and trades like yours are in high demand. Ireland’s Climate Action Plan is driving a nationwide shift towards energy-efficient homes, with targets to upgrade 500,000 homes to BER B2 and install heat pumps in 400,000 Irish homes by 2030. And that’s just the beginning. By 2050, the entire housing stock in Ireland will need to be upgraded to meet national climate goals. So, what does this mean for you? This growing momentum in energy upgrades presents a major opportunity for plumbing professionals. Homeowners across the country will be seeking trusted experts to deliver high-quality home energy upgrades, and contractors registered with the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) will be in high demand. There are two key steps to any home energy upgrade: first, reducing heat loss through improved insulation and, second, switching to efficient heating systems such as heat pumps. Heat pumps not only reduce carbon emissions, they also lower energy bills and improve comfort. They offer a clean, efficient alternative to fossil fuel heating (eg oil and gas), and homeowners are eligible for generous
SEAI grants but only when installed by a registered SEAI contractor.
Plumbers who diversify into renewable heating technologies are not only meeting market demand but also helping shape the future of Ireland’s energy landscape. Offering sustainable solutions positions your business as forward-thinking while meeting your customers’ needs. Customers are increasingly looking for trusted professionals who understand energy efficient systems and can guide them through the upgrade process with confidence, so it’s time to join the movement, future-proof your business and be part of Ireland’s energy upgrade journey. “Plumbers who diversify into renewable heating technologies are not only meeting market demand but also helping shape the future of Ireland’s energy landscape.” Don’t get left out in the cold, visit www.seai.ie/contractors-and-suppliers/ register-with-seai
