Cardo Group has acquired Co Down-based CTS NI as part of a growth strategy to expand its footprint and deliver building maintenance and improvement services across Northern Ireland. CTS is a leading building services provider, delivering full-service maintenance contracts to thousands of properties across Northern Ireland. The company offers a wide range of services, including planned and reactive maintenance, mechanical and electrical works, compliance testing and specialist improvement projects. CTS has built a strong reputation over decades as a trusted partner for public sector clients. FLOGAS SIGNS OFFTAKE AGREEMENT FOR IRELAND’S LARGEST BIOMETHANE PLANT
Construction is underway to create Ireland’s largest agri-based biomethane plant near Ballinrobe in Co Mayo. Nephin is currently developing three anaerobic digestion plants, including the Ballinrobe facility, and has signed a landmark offtake agreement with Flogas. The pioneering partnership is expected to deliver over 250GWh of Irish-produced biomethane annually, enough to heat over 33,000 homes, supporting the Government’s 2030 decarbonisation targets and creating hundreds of rural jobs. Energy Minister Alan Dillon joined senior leaders from Nephin, Flogas and DCC plc at an official groundbreaking ceremony for the
Ballinrobe plant which, once operational, will process 90,000 tonnes of farm waste annually including manures and slurries. John Rooney, Managing Director of Flogas, said, “Flogas is incredibly proud to partner with Nephin Renewable Gas which we believe will be Ireland’s leading producer of biomethane over the coming years. “Flogas, a DCC plc business, has always been focused on renewable gas, having been the first energy supplier in Ireland to secure indigenous biomethane in 2020.
