Hamilton Gas Products Ltd was commissioned to provide efficient systems, capable of delivering sufficient hot water at the required temperature and flow rate, for NRC Ballymena’s college and sports facilities. Tasked with supplying an instantaneous water heating solution, the Bangor- based business selected Rinnai cascading water heaters with storage. Heating water on demand with a secondary return, the system is safer as well as lowering CapEx. Involved with the project from its early stages, Hamilton Gas ensured the Rinnai system was compatible with specifications provided by the project consultant. Drawings and a detailed technical submission, including pipework design and performance calculations, were prepared for approval by both the consultant and contractor. Adam Wilson, Technical Sales & Support, said, “The system was designed to
achieve a precise rate of response from the secondary return. “It required the ability to modulate seamlessly between minimum and maximum output to meet varying demand levels. Additionally, it needed to maintain balanced responsiveness to prevent surpassing operational requirements.” Supported by NUGENT’s high-quality pipework installation, Hamilton Gas delivered on its targets with the Rinnai system achieving energy savings by heating only the amount of water required.
