who were hiding grabbed him and robbed him, even tak ing some of his clothes, and wounded him, and went away leaving the poor man half dead by th e road side. A fter a while a priest came by and saw the wounded man, but h e did not stop and help the man. A little later another man came along the same road, and he came over and looked a t the poor man, but passed on and left him suffering by th e road side. Now another man is coming down the road rid ing a burro; he is a Sam aritan, and th e Sam aritans and Jews were not friendly, and we would not be surprised if he did not help th e poor, wounded Jew. But when he saw him he pitied him, and went to him, bound up his wounds, pu tting on some medicine to make them heal. Then he lifted him up and placed him on the burro, and took him to an inn and took care of him. Now, boys and girls, who was neighbor to the wounded Jew? The one who showed kindness to him. When Jesus asked the man who was neighbor to the wounded man, he answered by saying the Good Samaritan, and then listen to w hat Jesus said: “Go thou and do likewise.” This is our memory verse, and Jesus is saying to each one of qs to go and do likewise. Perhaps some of you can th ink of a boy or girl in your room a t school, who has a hard tim e getting the lessons, and has be come discouraged. Think how you would cheer them by showing a kind ness in helping w ith the lesson. See how many kindnesses you can find to do th is coming week, and come and tell us about it next Sunday.

Yes, I th ink most of you do, and boys and girls are such splendid helpers. Last week we heard about some helpers Jesus sent out. F rank, you tell us about those helpers. Now I wonder how many of us found some others th is past week and brought them to Sunday School. Yes, here is a new boy th a t Jam es brought. How many asked some one to come? I am so glad th a t most of you tried. In our story for today a man asked Jesus a question. He asked what he could do to get eternal life. Jesus asked him what the Bible said, and the man answered, “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God w ith all th y heart, and w ith all thy soul, and w ith all thy strength, and with all thy> m ind; and thy neighbor as thy self.” Jesus told him he had answered right, and th a t if he did th is h e would have eternal life. Then the man asked who his neighbor was. Jesus answered by telling a story. Now if you will lis ten carefully you can tell who our neighbor is, I am sure. A man was walking down a lonely mountain road on his way to Jericho. Some robbers
