Don Horton started with nothing more than a passion for people and a vision for building and selling homes. As a man of drive, determination, and commitment, he took that vision and convinced a banker to give him the loan he needed to build his first house - a story he’d share for the rest of his life. He ran his business with complete dedication and selflessness from that very first day in 1978. He walked the job site as a builder, scheduled vendors as an operations manager, changed shirts to become a sales agent, and treated every customer, employee, vendor partner, and broker agent like family.
