THREE PEOPLE TAKEN TO HOSPITAL AFTER COLLISION

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) said three people were injured in a multi- vehicle crash in Rockland. According to the OPP, the collision involved four vehicles and happened on Highway 17 between Carmen Bergeron Street and Canaan Road, at roughly 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 24. The injuries were not considered life- threatening, the OPP said. The OPP closed the area while it conduc- ted an investigation. The roads reopened shortly after 3:30 p.m.

The annual Clarence Creek Winter Carnival Is officially in the books, and it’s a tradition that has become a staple for the community of Clarence Creek. The winter carnival, which ran from Feb. 12 until Feb. 22, featured several indoor and outdoor events and activities for all ages to enjoy. From a hockey tournament, dinners, shows, bingo, circus street performers, and the ever-popular ice races, there was plenty to offer, and celebrate the winter spirit with the whole family.
