Requirements Candidates/post holders will be expected to demonstrate the following

Educated to undergraduate degree level

Educated to Masters level (or equivalent) with a specialisation in a related Sustainability field

Experience

Working in the Higher Education or related sector on Sustainability or Sustainability related initiatives Developing, supporting and coordination of the implementation of environmental intiatives including LEAF, Green Impact, SOS Evidence of active commitment to promoting action on sustainability and implementing sustainability initiatives Supporting communications and other teams to promote sustainability and develop a culture of sustainability

Knowledge

Up to date knowledge of sustainability issues and climate change including Science Based targets LEAF, Green Impact, SOS or other sector specific initiatives to improve sustainability and drive environmental performance Environmental Law, Sector Best Practice and other requirements that must be factored into any sustainability initiatives Achieving effective targeted communications within large organisations with the goal of increasing engagement in sustainability

Skills and Abilities

High degree of computer literacy user with a detailed understanding of Microsoft Office products, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook High level project management – ability to initiate, progress and monitor projects by utilis - ing excellent organisation and time management skills Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and positively influence a wide range of stakeholders and colleagues at all levels, within and across teams Strong written and spoken professional communication skills and knowledge of writing for web, newsletters and other means of internal communication
