As I write this letter in early February, the cattle and purebred Angus business is ragging with optimism and competitiveness. I have never seen anything like it. The enthusiasm and energy are palpable. This is not a fad or pass by night moment, it is the new standard of beef. The sand is shifting beneath our feet, and it is all due to grit, genetic expertise and passion for our way life. I believe this program has set that standard FOR DECADES! Every year that passes I become more impressed with the ability of Musgrave Angus to match historical selection pressure with science and data collection. It is advancing and this offering shows it. The bulls I think as a group have the wow factor that is hard not to see. As you dig in, I believe you will find many more purebred herd sire prospects than ever before. This program has sent bulls across the country like no other program I work with, and I believe this year will be no different. The female section of this offering continues to move away from offering just females to offering their best. The family has decided sale day is the day to sell their best and grow the prefix across the country. These cattle are working for other programs and that is the true measure of program branding.
