Hats and Horses was a huge success with Members donning Kentucky Derby outfits to rival any show in town. The racing forms garnered $4,600 for the Mariners Fund, and the $500 winner was our own server, Donovan. The photos of the Members are on Flickr so make sure you download your picture. Or you can select “Photostream” and scroll down to the pictures from Hats & Horses. Now that summer is upon us, look for the eblasts announcing upcoming events. July 1 will be our Independence Day party. Nevada Smith, our patriotic entertainer, will be on hand to salute the USA and lead the dancing. Chef Jono will prepare a picnic fare and the Harbour Room will be decked out in red, white and blue. Plans are underway for another member event in late July. Don’t forget to gather your ‘school spirit’ for Welcome Back. For those heading north, find your school sweater, cheerleading uniform or tee shirt from your favorite team to celebrate ‘Homecoming’.
