ARC SCHEME INFORMATION: LINKAGE PROGRAM

The Linkage Infrastructure, Equipment and Facilities scheme encourages Eligible Organisations to develop collaborative arrangements with other Eligible

Organisations and/or Partner Organisations to develop and support research infrastructure. The scheme supports large-scale national or international cooperative initiatives allowing expensive research infrastructure to be shared and/or accessed; supports areas of existing and/or emerging research strength; and supports and develops research infrastructure for the broader research community. The Special Research Initiatives scheme provides funding for new and emerging fields of research and builds capacity in strategically important areas. The scheme supports high-quality research which will assist in advancing Australia’s research excellence to be globally competitive and deliver benefits to the community. The Future Fellowships scheme supports outstanding mid-career researchers to be recruited and retained by universities in continuing academic positions. The scheme builds collaboration across industry and/or research organisations and/or disciplines; supports research in the Australian Government’s Science and Research Priorities that will result in economic, environmental, social and/ or cultural benefits for Australia; and to strengthen Australia’s research capacity by supporting innovative, internationally-competitive research.
