The company shone as the clear winner, with its IHDP offering a unique, innovative approach to problem solving and breaking new ground with its continuing evolution. Leveraging advanced mapping technology with multiple data layers to revolutionise the construction industry, the platform uniquely compiles and utilises data layers such as flood risk zones, council zones, census data and social housing demand. It provides insights and efficiencies that are unmatched even by local councils and governmental bodies, preventing costly delays and ensuring projects remain on schedule and within budget.
Clear evidence of actions promoting environmental responsibility in all aspects of the business wowed judges, securing the accolade for GEDA Construction. The panel was impressed by GEDA’s comprehensive presentation, as well as the presence of senior management. Established in 1982, the company offers a robust legacy of projects that exemplify its dedication to environmental stewardship and sustainable practices. Operations focus on carbon reduction, energy efficiency and the management of embodied carbon. Projects include environmental protection efforts in sensitive areas such as Belfast Lough SPA, Cork Harbour SPA and the Eastern Mourne Mountains ASSI, enhancing the built environment while safeguarding natural resources for future generations.
