All concrete blocks, and a full range of precast concrete products including road kerbs and lintels, were supplied to Lismore College by Barrett’s Concrete. Contributing to both the functionality and aesthetic quality of the site, these materials played a critical role in the overall project. Working alongside main contractor OHMG, Barrett’s Concrete ensured timely delivery and high standards, helping to keep the project on schedule and within specification. Michael Hoey, Precast Sales Advisor, said, “Our precast concrete kerbs are designed and manufactured to withstand the high-traffic environment of an educational facility such as this. “To address the tight construction programme, we optimised our production schedules, working closely with O’Hare and McGovern’s site team
to ensure timely supply of all products across multiple areas of the 15,800sqm development. “Our proactive communication and logistics planning allowed us to navigate potential delays and keep the project on track. We utilised a mixed-load delivery system, combining precast and block deliveries to maximise lorry capacity and significantly reduce the number of deliveries to site and, with it, the construction phase carbon impact.” Seeing its products contribute to creating a vibrant and modern learning environment, designed to serve the community for generations to come, was the most rewarding aspect of the project for Barrett’s Concrete. “The project highlights our expertise in delivering concrete solutions for large- scale projects, and it stands out in our portfolio as an excellent example of our
