PAYROLL PETS
Modern life is incredibly busy. Combining work and home life can be a balancing act, and recently, we’ve all been exposed to considerable uncertainty. Pets can really help our mental well-being and help us find some solace and stability in difficult times. We asked you, the payroll professionals, to show us your pets.
Here are just a few of your wonderful furry and feathered friends...
Name: Peppercorn and Bunnie Sent by: Jeni Morris, head of the national minimum wage team, EY “Here are my little co-workers on my working from home days. Peppercorn (Pepper for short as she’s a salt and pepper Schnauzer) and Bunnie (yes, it’s a dog called Bunnie). I can’t claim that it was my choice but to be fair, it suits her!” Name: Milo and Sophie Sent by: : Jim Woodlingfield ChMCIPP, deputy head service delivery – benefits administration, Surrey Pension Fund “Here are our two, having a break between reconciliations! The dog is Milo, and the cat is Sophie.”
Name: Lenny Sent by: Lauren Handley MCIPPdip, CIPP course material author “Here’s a picture of my payroll pup, Lenny. He’s made quite a few appearances in Teams meetings and is practically one of the team now.”
Name: Layla and Pip Sent by: : Sam Jones MCIPPdip, CIPP payroll advisory team leader “Layla is a five-year-old wire-haired Jack Russell. She’s a quiet dog, unless there’s a knock at the door. She’s my little shadow and spends most of the day on my lap. She’s such a sweet little soul. “Pip is a four-year-old Jackapoo. She’s great fun and quite possibly part mountain goat. She’s the kindest little pooch, always wanting to play with dogs and people. She’s a little fluffball that’s full of affection. “I wouldn’t be without my dogs – they’re such an important part of my life and have given me so much love and companionship. Even on the toughest days, they’re with me and wagging their tails.”
If you’ve submitted your payroll pet to us and they’re not included, you’ll see them in a future issue of Professional .
