alongside to give us assistance. The Righteous One Himself is our Attorney. He pleads our cause against the one who accuses us relentlessly. He is not asking for leniency for sinning Christians nor even for the setting aside the law of God. MY LOVE FOR GOD My love for God, sometimes is like The sunlight's golden wane; A wistful, yearing, tender thing I cannot quite explain; A reaching out, a lifting up, A drawing to one's heart; Sometimes it's joy, sometimes it's tears, They are of each, a part. My love for God is like the dawn; Its promise in the sky, The glory of its loveliness Proclaims He reigns on High. At times, my love for God becomes A great white-rushing tide— That sweeps a soul as small as I Close to His precious side! But there are days, it's gentle, sweet, More like a fragrant breeze That softly stirs at eventide, A whisp'ring in the trees. My love for God involves the peace He gives me in the night, He's my Essentiality; Through Christ, my soul's Delight!
