The participants shall:

Engage in discussions and share experiences on movement of mechanical parts in lift gates and fences.

Learning objectives:

The participants can perform a function test on a gate lock switch: condition, cabling (Skills, intermediate level). The participants can describe how to adjust a gate lock switch following a relevant manual (Knowledge, basic level).

The instructor shall:

Present and demonstrate examples of different gate lock systems.

Lead or facilitate discussion on adjustment of gate lock systems.

Facilitate practical training on testing the functioning of gate lock switches.

The participants shall:

Engage in discussions, share experiences, and practise the function testing of a gate lock switch.

Learning objectives:

The participants can describe the safety principles of connection a power cable power inlet plug to a guard locking control box outlet (Knowledge, basic level).

The instructor shall:

Present and demonstrate examples of different guard locking control boxes.

Lead a discussion on the safety principles of connection a power cable power inlet plug to a guard locking control box outlet .

The participants shall:

Engage in discussions and share experiences on guard locking control boxes.

Learning objective:

The participants can describe how to function test the operation of switches on upper and lower hatches (Knowledge, basic level).
