The participants shall:

Engage in discussions and share experiences on how and what to inspect in relation to labels and type plates.

Learning objectives:

The participants can perform a visual inspection of an attachment to the lift (Skills, intermediate level). The participants can perform a wear test of the centrifugal brake (speed test, downwards velocity during emergency descent) e.g. with 2 persons max. 26 m/min (Skills, intermediate level). The participants can describe how to do a visual inspection for leaks on drive unit and report according to the relevant lift manuals or instruction (Knowledge, basic level).

The instructor shall:

Demonstrate examples of:

How to inspect the attachment to the lift.

How to do a wear test of centrifugal brake.

How to check the operation of motor break at top- and bottom drive unit.

How to do a speed test during emergency descent.

How to do a visual inspection for leaks on drive unit and report in case of leaks.

Facilitate practical training on:

How to do a wear test of centrifugal brake.

How to do a speed test during emergency descent.

The participants shall:

Engage in the practical training, share experiences on hoist and drive units, and apply the received feedback in following learning activities.

Learning objectives:

The participants can explain how to do a visual inspection of the wiring (El) to drive unit (Knowledge, intermediate level).
