ERSEY CITY — Forbes Media signed a 10-year, 92,720 s/f lease with Newport for the entire ninth and 10th floors of 499 Wash- ington Blvd., maintaining 100% occupancy at the 14- story, class-A office building in Jersey City. The American media powerhouse will relo- cate its former headquarters to Newport by the end of 2014. “Newport’s 499 Washing- ton Blvd. offered the right type of professional and com- munity environment Forbes Media was seeking for its new headquarters. The Newport community has a variety of shops, restaurants, hotels with conference centers and over 5,000 luxury apartments that appeal to Forbes Media employees and business part- ners,” said Marylou Berk , senior vice president and head of commercial real estate at LeFrak , the developer of Newport. “The virtually column-free space and unob- structed NYC-skyline views also presented Forbes Media with a strategic and impres- sive location to establish their offices, just one stop from
