Similar testimony to the peculiar efficiency of this precious truth as a well-chosen weapon of our holy warfare has been borne by many successful soul winners, and these are careful and earnest students of the word of prophecy.” SHORTEST WAY TO THE THRONE “ If I have taken anything from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold.” (Luke 19:8.) Suppose a man is going to the Tem­ ple with an offering to lay upon the al­ tar. As he comes to the door, he re­ members some man \outside who can point the finger of scorn and contempt at him, who knows of a wrong relation­ ship which exists between him and one of his fellows. What must such as he do? Is he to go into the Temple and pray that God will send a great wave of religious enthusiasm over him, in which all this moral uneasiness will be lost? “ No,” said Jesus, “ leave . . . thy gift . . . and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother.” A man has' no gift for God in his hand who has some dis­ honor in his heart.— John A. He worshiped at every shrine trying to appease the spirit. He finally decided that suicide was his only means of relief. A group of Christians went to his home for prayer, and after the destroying of his idols and the offering of earnest prayer in the name of Christ, he was com­ pletely delivered. Martha Pohnert in Mi Yang Hsien now has three consecrated native girl workers under her. Five years ago she was alone with a convert from Con­ fucianism. She makes frequent trips into the country doing personal work. Mr. and Mrs. Van Y. Eddings have returned ' to Venezuela, under a new council which they organized while in Los Angeles. The council is known as the Orinoco River Mission of Venezuela. V. V. Morgan, 536 South Hope Street, Los Angeles, is secretary of the council. James W. Black, ’ 20, is preaching at, the Baptist churches at Pe Ell and Le- bam, Wash. Leman C. Robie, ’ 19, writes of the great success the Lord has given him in meetings in New York state. He has been having excellent success with the Pocket Testament League and finds it a method of making many personal workers in his meetings, gig A WELL-CHOSER WEAPON Rev. H. S. Hester gives a good answer to those who have asserted that {here is nothing in the premillennial doctrine itself that brings souls to Christ. It has often been pointed out that the great soul-winners have been premillenni- alists. Mr. Hester says: “ We have yet to witness the first in­ stance where the preaching of the pre­ millennial, second coming of Christ, un­ der the precious baptism, and mighty anointing of the Holy Ghost, has failed to produce the terrific conviction of sin­ ners.
