The walls were covered on the inside with boards of cedar in which were carved shapes of flowers, and these flowers were covered over with gold. The floor of the temple and in side of the porch was covered with pure gold. There was hung up inside the house a curtain of blue, purple and crimson, called the veil, to make two rooms there, as had been done in the tabernacle. Some of you are just seven years old, so it took as long to build the temple as it has taken for you to grow up from a tiny baby to be seven years old. Now that the temple was _finished King Solomon called all the chief men to Jerusalem that they might be there when the ark should be brought into the temple. Then the priests took up the ark and carried it into the most holy place. The two tables of stone with the ten command ments written on them were in the ark.
