CATHECHISM ON THE SECOND COMING This is another booklet recently is sued by the Bible Institute, price 5c. It is a Scriptural answer to a widely cir culated book put out by the Methodist Book Concern, in which Rev. J. W. Campbell gives a so-called “ catechism” on the Second Coming of Christ. Mr. Campbell by a series of carefully ar ranged questions, and a strange hand ling of the Scriptures, manages to com pletely evaporate the truth of our Lord’s coming. His use of Scripture is very limited, most of the “ answers” being out of his own head.J The book has been placed in the hands of thou sands of ministers, many of whom seem to regard it as the final word on the subject. Mr. Keith L. Brooks has now followed the same line of questions, placing opposite them the full array of Scripture passages to supply the an swers. The plain statements of these passages completely refute the argu ments of Mr. Campbell. ' The booklet is not designed merely to answer Mr. Campbell, but to answer from the Scrip tures many questions of interest to all Bible students, touching this subject. m YOUNG PEOPLES’ SOCIETIES QUARTERLY At last there has been issued some thing that has long, been the need of Young Peoples’ Societies. The topics assigned by the Christian Endeavor and Epworth League organizations have often proved most unsatisfactory, and leaders among young people have sought topics more along the line of definite Bible study. The Union Gospel Print ing Co. are now publishing, in quarterly form, a complete list of subjects ar ranged by Di\ R. E. Neighbor, and with additional helps by Rev. Leon Tucker and Rev. W. S. Hottel. Need less to say, they take up the vital topics of the Word. The editors give an ex position of the topic, with numerous anecdotes by way of illustration, and many Bible nuggets. Suggestions as to how to handle each meeting are also given. This quarterly is designed to be put in the hands of the leader, and any society by subscribing for three or four copies can keep its leaders sup plied ahead. The topics themselves can be printed or posted on a bulletin board. Single copies of the quarterly are 20c, or per year 75c. Three or more copies, 60c year.
