Guided by The High Philosophy of building trustworthy relationships and being innovative leaders, the High Companies have a long history of responsible stewardship with dedication to both the envi- ronment and the greater community. While many community programs are carried out through The High Foundation, High Construction augments this mission with several outreach programs. Most notable is the firm’s annual charity golf invitational. This unique event unites trade contractors, archi- tects, and engineers for a worthy cause—to help sick and critically injured children in our commu- nity. In 2018, High Construction raised $52,860 at its 10th annual charity golf invitational to benefit Children’s Miracle Network at Penn State Children’s Hospital. The event was held on September 14 at Foxchase Golf Club in Denver, Pa. Since 2008, the event has garnered the support of nearly 200 business partners and raised more than $330,000. Building community and giving back to the community are at the heart of our event. We’re connecting our business partners through golf and goodwill; and it’s making a difference in the lives of our neighbors, friends, and as- sociates that must bear the unthinkable.

This is not mandated but comes from the heart of our employees and their personal interests and is ingrained in our company culture. IMC connects with communities through outreach, education, sponsorship and fundraising efforts locally near many of our con- struction projects. To date, the IMC Charitable Founda- tion has assisted more than 125 local non-profits within our community.

Sax strives for more than growth and success for the firm. It is embedded in the
firm’s culture to support our surrounding communities and use our strength to pick up others. Sax offers team members a paid time off day to use for volunteering for charity, and facilitates a number of volunteer events and donation drives annually to make it easy for team members to give back to local organizations including Paterson Habitat for Humanity, Oasis – A Haven for Women and Children, The Community FoodBank of NJ, American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, United Way of Passaic County, Bergen County Volunteer Center and the NJ Community Devel- opment Corporation. Since 2012, Sax has held their annual run/walk event called the 4 Miler at Garret Mountain which raises money for the Child Life Department at St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital in Paterson, NJ. In 2018, the firm raised $70,000 which brought the total raised since the event’s inception to over $440,000 that directly benefits the hospital’s pediatric patients undergoing treatment. Sax makes it enticing and effortless for team members to donate to local organizations all year long. Dress down days were provided monthly in return for a do- nation to a selected nonprofit organization/charity. In 2018, Sax LLP raised money for 14 different organiza- tions with this initiative.

and organizations throughout the year. On both a lo- cal and international scale, our team supports a num- ber of philanthropies including the Tanzanian Chil- dren’s Fund, the Puerto Rico Children’s Hospital, the Cooper Foundation Child Life Program and more. We also strive to encourage the involvement of our part- ners in philanthropy. For instance, for the second year in a row, Torcon reached out to our dedicated construc- tion partners to support two initiatives aimed at making the holidays a bit brighter for families and individuals throughout Philadelphia and Camden. They heeded the call and with their support we were able to help donate thousands of toys to deserving families and collect vital supplies for the homeless. We partnered with the team at CHS 1979 & Associates, a non-profit committed to enhancing the lives of youth, young adults and elderly residents in Camden, and worked with Project HOME, an organization focused on providing housing and job training to formerly homeless persons. Overall, we were able to donate hundreds of supplies – many of the things we all take for granted – that are essential to everyday life. The response from those who benefited from ev- eryone’s support was overwhelming, and really helped crystalize what the spirt of the holidays is all about. Torcon recognizes that when you are blessed with good fortune and success, it’s a responsibility to help others in need too. Through the support of our partners and employees, Torcon has been able to make a difference in the lives of many, and we look forward to continuing our many traditions of giving for years to come. Benchmark Construction mindfully contributes to our local community through the non-profit organiza- tions we serve. Not only at the corporate level, but employees get involved in our client’s missions as well. For example, our employees collected. $700 cash and 35 bedding sets for a homeless women and children’s shelter just before the holidays. LMS gives back consistently throughout the year to a number of different local or- ganizations both monetarily and through “supply drives.” In 2018, we collected donations for Water Street Rescue Mission, ASPCA, Power Packs, and Clair House.
NAIOP NJ’s annual Community Action Project supports commu- nities throughout the state. For the past nine years, the commer-
cial real estate development association has partnered with the Community FoodBank of New Jersey (CFB- NJ), the state’s largest anti-hunger and anti-poverty organization, to collect food and cash donations, and members have given thousands of volunteer hours to sort and prepare donations for delivery. To celebrate its 10th year supporting CFBNJ, NAIOP NJ launched a 1 Million Meals for NJ fundraising campaign in Novem- ber 2018. The goal is to work with its member com- panies and individuals to raise $333,333 to provide 1 million meals for the state’s food insecure. in which IBS team members live and work. • Supports communities that are impacted by disasters. • Addresses issues that impact quality of life. • Enhances the lives of IBS team members. All regular full-time and part-time IBS employees can volunteer up to 30 hours (four days) per calendar year with a nonprofit organization in accordance with IBS’s giving and volunteering guidelines. At the same time, IBS recognizes that participating in these activities will also enrich and inspire the lives of its employees. “Community” is not defined as just local community but may encompass a global perspective. In 2018, Colliers continued our ongoing community relationship with Lewis Elkin and Sheridan El- ementary Schools, participating in back-to-school supply and winter
coat drives. Colliers also took part in the Martin Luther King National Day of Service at a variety of locations throughout the City, including a team at the central site at Girard College. This holiday season, Colliers fulfilled over 65 individ- ual gift requests for abused and at-risk children as part of the Children’s Crisis Treatment Center Holiday Toy Drive, an annual Holiday tradition at Colliers.
