New Gravity Housing Conference- August 1-2, 2019 The reality of climate change will fundamentally alter the way build- ings are designed, built, and operated in the coming decades. At the same time, the need for quality affordable housing that can withstand increasingly extreme and volatile weather continues to grow. Building healthy, safe, and accessible places to live that will both limit and adapt to climate impacts is a key challenge for the 21st century. The annual New Gravity Housing Conference, held each summer, explores the tools, techniques, and practices that the building community is using to address this challenge. Groundbreaker Awards- Septmeber 25, 2019 Green Building United’s annual Groundbreaker Awards recognize leaders in the green building industry that demonstrate innovation, com- mitment to sustainability in the built environment, and environmental, social, and/or economic impact and our collective efforts in advancing design and building technologies that improve health, save money, and reduce climate impact. In turn, these projects support a stronger local economy, healthier environment, and more stable climate future.
