Useful and appropriate organisations for all deaf young people include: The NDCS (National Deaf Children’s Society) RNID Deafplus RAD (Royal Association for Deaf People) BSMHD (British Society for Mental Health and Deaf People) Action for Deafness Sign Health is a service aimed at BSL users that provides access to NHS therapy. Once a self-referral form is complete, Sign Health will be in touch within seven days. Sign Health also provides an accessible information video collection that covers many health topics. In addition, Sign Health offer workshops (not group therapy) that teach techniques and tools to help look after one’s wellbeing. Using your MHFAider app or the Hub of Hope website directly, explore targeted help local to the young person using the support tags e.g., ‘Deaf and Hearing Impaired Support’.
