4. NORDSTADT Hildesheim’s Nordstadt district is characterised by its cultural diversity and its imaginative, constantly growing street art scene. Take a stroll through the streets and keep an eye out for the colourful works of art. You can find more works of art in the studios and galleries of the Nordstadt district. Kathrin Sättele has made the Nordstadt her home and place of work. It is here that she passionately forges delica- te and exciting pieces of jewellery that are reminiscent of sweeping calligraphy. Monika Borchardt’s studio is a little off the beaten track at Hildesheim Airport, with a fantastic view over the airfield. The changing exhibitions feature paintings and jewellery. NOTE Please note that the studios and galleries are not always open. Check the websites of the individual artists for opening hours or personal appointments.

4. NORDSTADT
1. NEUSTADT (TOUR IN THE HIAPP) Half-timbered houses, green spaces, churches – studios and galleries. All this awaits you on a trip to Hildesheim’s Neustadt. Several artists have fallen in love with this district and settled there. Take a stroll through the charming streets and get an impression of their craftsmanship.
In her ceramic workshop, Stephanie Link produces bowls, mugs and vases for everyday use – in a sustainable way, because beautiful, high-quality ceramics do not wear out and are timeless. 2. MORITZBERG (TOUR IN THE HIAPP) The beautiful Moritzberg district is a little off the beaten track. Here you will find individual, lovingly run cafes, restaurants and shops. The old architecture and beautiful natural surroundings invite you to linger. Don’t miss the breathtaking view of Hildesheim from the top of Mittelallee. This cosy neighbourhood is also home to Galerie Reizig , where selected artists showcase their interpretations of nature’s beauty, captured and embodied in exquisite pieces of jewellery. This is how valuable keepsakes are created. 3. OSTSTADT (TOUR IN THE HIAPP) This quiet district is home to numerous historic buildings, the “Steingrube” municipal park and the Theater für Nieder- sachsen. At the beginning and the end of the tour, small studios and galleries are worth a stopover. In her studio, Marit Bindernagel has created a place where jewellery and tableware take centre stage. With delicate hammer blows, she creates light and supple products in gold and silver. The showroom and workshop are combined in a quiet backyard.
