Workload Your horse’s workload or activity level should play a key part in your decision on what to feed. The following chart will help you work out how much work your horse is in and therefore to choose the correct feed:
Be honest about activity level,
otherwise you could end up over or under feeding or feeding the wrong product.
Resting
Also includes very light hacking.
Light Work
1 hour hacking 5 days a week, first 4-6 weeks of fittening work. Up to novice level Dressage and Show Jumping.
Light -Medium 1- 2 hours hacking/fittening, BE 80 - Novice level eventing, Up to Medium Level Dressage. Novice-Foxhunter show jumping. Up to 25 miles competitive endurance.
Advanced Dressage, Intermediate/1* Eventing, Grade A&B show jumping. 25-30 mile competitive endurance.
Medium
Advanced/2* Eventing. International Show Jumper. 50-75 miles endurance.
Medium-Hard
Racing of all kinds, 3 and 4 * Eventer. Hunting. 100 miles endurance.
