DIE TAFEL S TERN NACHHALT IGKEI T

TAFELSTERN fulfils the world’s most stringent environmental requirements. Thanks to state-of-the-art firing technologies, energy requirements have been reduced by one third over a period of 15 years. Fast-firing enables almost complete prevention of CO2 emissions and thus allows exemption from CO2 emission trading. All raw materials and intermediate products are fully recycled and the only significant pollutant, fluorine gas, has been filtered out of the flue gases since 1990. As the resilient and enduring tableware remains in use for decades, it helps to prevent mountains of waste. In 2012, the company became the world’s first porcelain manufacturer to be certified according to the international standards DIN EN ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) and DIN EN ISO 50001 (Energy Management). It complies with the Code of Conduct of the Association for Supply Chain Management, Procurement and Logistics (BME) and the regulations of the Corporate Governance Code of Conduct.
