We changed things up for the last session of our seminar – and hosted a panel discussion on “Title Curative”. Our panel of experts included: Brent Chicken – Steptoe & Johnson PLLC Elizabeth Cavin - Rock River Minerals LP Judy Moreland, CDOA – Concho Resources Inc. Kacie Bevers – Steptoe & Johnson PLLC Mindy Warren – Pioneer Natural Resources USA, Inc. Shawn Thompson - Pioneer Natural Resources USA, Inc. served as our Moderator. It was a first for PBADOA and a great way to end a great day. We are genuinely grateful to our PBADOA members who volunteered their time and helped make this year’s seminar a success. PBADOA would like to recognize two of our outstanding members – Dawn Podrazik and Shelby Welch. Dawn and Shelby are known as PBADOA’s Dynamic Duo! They are always willing to share their knowledge and help in any way needed. We are very fortunate to have them in our Association. Please join us in celebrating their achievements. DAWN PODRAZIK the Northern Delaware Basin-West area of New Mexico, leading a team of five analysts. Dawn has been a member of PBADOA for a cumulative 19 years, and a member of NADOA for at least 15 years, and PALTA and NALTA since 2006. She has served on the PBADOA Board in past years as Publicity Chair, Treasurer, President, and Board Advisor as well as a Director on the NADOA Board as the local liaison for PBADOA both in 2010 and 2015. She served as Advertising Chair for NADOA for ten years. She is always supportive of the local and national organizations and has helped with several PBADOA Seminars. Dawn earned her CDOA status in 2014 and is also currently working on her BBA in Business Management – Online from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin. Dawn has lived in Midland, Texas since 1996, and enjoys spoiling her 13-year-old Chihuahua, Zoey when she’s not working and spending time with family and friends. Dawn Podrazik has done land-related work for over 20 years, having worked in the oil and gas areas of the Trust Departments of Chase Bank and Wells Fargo Bank in Midland. She joined Concho Resources in 2006 as a division order analyst and is currently a Lead Division Order Analyst for
SHELBY WELCH Shelby began her oil and gas career at ConocoPhillips in 2005 and moved to Concho Resources in August of 2010 to begin her career as a Division Order Analyst. Shelby has been a member of PBADOA and NADOA since January of 2011. She has served
in several positions over the years, PBADOA Treasurer in 2012, PBADOA Treasurer and NADOA Liaison in 2013 and the PBADOA President in 2014. Since then she has served as Board Advisor and served on the Seminar Committee yearly. Shelby received her CDOA in July of 2016 and was recently promoted to a Senior Division Order Analyst. When she isn’t working she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, especially her nieces and nephews, and recently started serving as a Foster mom. She currently has 3 amazing kids who keep her on her toes and 3 pups that don’t help to tame the chaos!
