reducing your wait in line. The Fort Worth Zoo can be a great day trip. The operating hours in September are 10am – 5pm daily, so plenty of time to feed the rays, watch the hippos, spy on the bats and laugh at the otters. Also not to miss is the Andean condor, endangered and one of the largest birds of prey. Its wingspan can reach a breathtaking 10 feet. Or take a close look at an iconic native, the Texas horned lizard. Book your extra nights and schedule your flight accordingly.
