The National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees (NABT) held its 2016 Annual Convention, in San Diego, California. During this meeting 31 st Grand Polemarch Dwayne M. Murray of the Baton Rouge Alumni Chapter was sworn in to office as National President and Chief Executive Officer of the association. Murray rose through the ranks of the NABT having served as Secretary, Treasurer, Vice President and President-Elect. NABT is a nonprofit association formed in 1982 to address the needs of chapter 7 bankruptcy trustees and to promote the effectiveness of the bankruptcy system as a whole. Membership in NABT is open to chapter 7 trustees, judges, employees of the Office of the U.S. Trustee, attorneys, accountants, auctioneers, appraisers, insurance agents, bankruptcy software providers and bankers. The National Headquarters is located in Columbia, South Carolina. An adjunct law professor and insolvency lawyer, Murray has served as a hearing officer for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court of the Middle District of Louisiana for 23 years. He is married to Sil- houette Lisa N. Murray; they make their home in Baton Rouge, Louisiana..
