KAPPAS IN THE COMMUNITY

Above: Students engage law enforcement panelists. Left: Grand Board Member McMikle participates in a television interview. Right: A New Orleans law enforcement officer explains what one should do when interacting with police during an encounter at one's home.

McMikle: To date, we’ve been to: Hartford, Connecticut; Chicago, Illinois; Houston, Texas; Oakland, California; Los Angeles, California; Compton, Cali- fornia;
St. Louis, Missouri; San Ber- nardino, California; Gary, Indiana; Baton Rouge, Louisiana; New Orleans, Louisi- ana; Opelousas, Louisiana; Washington, D.C.; Detroit, Michigan and Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. We have had three forums with less than 100 students and forums as large as 2,000 students. Q: Is there more that individual broth- ers/chapters can do to sustain the mes-

McMikle: We want to bring these fo- rums to as many cities as possible. If brothers are interested in working on this initiative to push the agenda forward, they should contact me as well. Q: What has been your most poignant moment related to this initiative?

McMikle: There are three. The first is
