JLL has tapped long-time colleagues Paul Torosian , managing director, John Plower , VP, Dean Toro- sian , senior associate, and Jeffrey lockard , senior analyst, to serve industrial clients in Pennsylvania, and Nathan Demetsky , execu- tive VP and John Gartland , VP, to assist industrial clients in New Jersey. The two real estate professionals will op- erate out of JLL’s Melville office, expanding its tenant representation expertise and relationships throughout the Long Island market, and facilitating the fulfillment of JLL client requirements on Long Island. n

Working on behalf of a joint venture between Cohen As- set Management, Inc. and New York Life Investment Management, HFF placed the seven-year, fixed-rate acquisi- tion loan with Principal Real Estate Investors . HFF sold the assets to the borrower as part of a larger portfolio in 2012. The portfolio is 99 percent leased and is within close proximity to Port Newark/ Elizabeth, Newark Inter- national Airport and major roadways including Interstate 95/The New Jersey Turnpike and Interstates 78 and 287. The HFF team representing the borrower was led by senior managing directors Jon Mi- kula and Paul Brindley . n G William Group reports activity fueled by the food industry EDISoN, NJ — G William Group , a commercial building consulting group headquar- tered in Edison had significant activity for last year and this year fueled mainly by the food industry. GWG designed and built new facilities for a restaurant fran- chiser in Newark and a food testing company in Hamilton. Other food related projects include the design and renova- tion of a 100,000 s/f facility for organic vegan food production and the planning and design for additional production and operations improvement for a spice company. Additional commercial proj- ects were the design and sup- ply of a pre-engineered steel building addition for a printing company in Clifton; the reloca- tion of a store fixture company in Brooklyn with three locations into one large facility. n Distribution center in Hamilton NJ
