JOURNÉE PORTES OUVERTES À ALFRED-PLANTAGENET
Le canton d’Alfred-Plantagenet tien- dra une journée portes ouvertes à ses bureaux administratifs, pour souligner l’achèvement de l’agrandissement des locaux, le jeudi 28 juin. Cette journée-là, entre 15 h et 19 h 30, le public est invité à visiter les locaux fraichement rénovés et d’y rencontrer le personnel de la municipalité. Il y aura un cinq à sept, des présentations for- melles et un cocktail à partir de 17 h. Une plaque commémorative sera dévoilée à 18 h. Le maire Fernand Dicaire et les conseillers du canton seront présents pour l’évènement. Les travaux d’agrandissement des locaux ont débuté en septembre 2017 et les touches finales ont été apportées
en juin 2018. Le coût total de la réfection des locaux, à ce jour, est de 818 341 $. L’agrandissement visait à réunir une grande partie des départements de la Municipalité sous un même toit. La Municipalité a aussi lancé un appel aux artistes locaux pour exposer leurs œuvres dans le cadre de cet évènement. Les aires passantes des locaux seront transformées en galerie éphémère pour la durée de l’évènement. Les artistes seront présents sur les lieux à partir de 17 h pour partager avec le public leur démarche artistique. The trade war between Canada and the United States over President Donald Trump’s new tariffs on Canadian steel and aluminum is still at the early stage. But MP Francis Drouin is already in touch with local industries and businesses. “I’ve been dealing with them for the past six months on this issue,” said Drouin during a June 7 interview. “I have reached out to a few of the companies that could be affected.
