Great Northern StrataGraph Earns G7 Targeted Qualification Appleton, Wisconsin based Great Northern StrataGraph has announced its requalification as a G7 Master Facility, along with a G7 Targeted designation for its off-set print press. This qualification verifies that Great Northern’s off-set press meets G7 Targeted color specifications for grayscale colors, as well as primary and secondary colors (CMYK and RGB). Great Northern’s Twin Cities location is also a G7 Master Facility. “A brand’s color is one of its most important and recog- nizable attributes,” said Bruce Kehler, VP Sales Develop- ment at Great Northern StrataGraph. “When color is print- ed consistently on consumer packaging, it reinforces the brand’s visual identity and can affect consumer perception and purchasing behavior within seconds. The G7 Target- ed qualification provides assurance to our customers that their packaging will have a high-quality, consistent print color for each project across all G7 certified devices.”
The Paper and Packaging Board (P+PB) has announced the appointment of James Harrell, Sonoco; Pete Watson, Greif; and Rob Melton, Domtar, by USDA Secretary Sonny Perdue for a 3-year board term beginning January 2021. Three seats were open on the board, including a South seat, filled by Harrell, and a seat representing the rest of the U.S.,filled by Watson. Melton fills the Importer seat. A nine-member Board of Directors representing the four grades of paper funding the Paper & Packaging – How Life Unfolds campaign oversees the paper and pack- aging sectors’ national promotion program.
