B obby Huntley is a rising star in Hollywood and in the Georgia film and entertainment industry. He is an award-winning director, producer, writer, and editor at Bobby Huntley Films LLC. Huntley is best known for his short films Coronaman II: One Year Later , Coro- naman: Stay Home , Auntie, and feature films including Connect , and La Vie Magnifigue De Charlie. He has won a wide range of awards for his work, including Outstand- ing Feature Film and Best New Director. His passion for the art of filmmaking was ignited after receiving his first camera at the age of 10. “Holding the camera and recording images has always felt as natural to me as breathing,” he shares. He received his B.A. in Fine Arts at American InterContinental University and won 1st place in the school-wide film festival for his short film, 4Eleven . He specializes in striking visuals, provocative characters, effective music placement, and period pieces done within a wide range of budgets and resources. Huntley’s intense passion for the arts and creativity continues to capture viewers with each new film. His work motto is “Envision, Execute, Empower, Repeat”. He tours the country speaking at high schools and universities sharing his knowledge and experience in filmmaking. Huntley declares, “I love sharing the truth about what indie filmmaking is all about, as well as what this lifestyle entails, the highs and lows, the expectations and all that. I also enjoy inspiring all creatives to go after their dreams and complete their projects without fear and lack of resources.”

Ovation for Men, a leading Black-owned men’s fragrance brand, recently collaborated with the award- winning filmmaker and one of his creative partners, Eric Rai’Vaun, on creating two visual shorts designed to tell authentic stories targeted towards African American fragrance consumers that have generally been neglected and untold by the major designer fragrance brands. Huntley is looking into getting a commercial agent in hopes of taking on more commercial directing roles in between making films. He expresses, “Commercials are the perfect way to do high art and big concept projects in a short amount of time. I welcome the opportunity to continue to express my filming expertise in this area of the entertainment industry.” Panavision, the world-class provider of end-to-end solutions that power the creative vision of filmmakers, recently announced a partnership with Huntley and featured him on their social media platforms. Huntley gave a behind-the-scenes look into his latest short film Coronaman II: One Year Later and shared his experience and approach in bringing films to life. “The Coronoman three-part thriller short film series is a tribute to Oscar- winner Jordan Peele’s Candyman movie as well as my Auntie horror short film, which is an illusion piece based on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air TV series. Peele’s movies single handedly made me fall in love with the horror- thriller genre and I look forward to creating more films in this category that allows for so much creativity and imagination.” Huntley is looking forward to the completion and release of his behind-the-scenes documentary about his

feature film debut Herbert and Cleofis and the Unfortunate Chronicles of the Kidnapping of Miss Ella Fynn later this year. He wrote and directed the film shortly after graduating from film school in 2012. The project ran into problems with the finalization of the musical score and funding difficulties and was halted after two years of filming. Huntley got the cast and crew together after nearly a decade last year to do interviews and to discuss the trials, tribulations, and journey of the film. The movie is a comedy based in the 1940s about a jazz singer who gets kidnapped by two dimwitted criminals (Herbert and Cleofis). When asked what he sees in the future for indie filmmaking, Huntley replies, “The future is going to be wide-ranging and all-encompassing now with the easy access to technology and apps like TikTok. More people are becoming masters at storytelling and creating these amazing little stories in short little clips. The competition in the industry is only going to increase, but that’s okay as it makes everyone work harder and become more dedicated to improving their craft.” The director created Bobby Huntley Films LLC, www.bobbyhuntleyfilms.com in 2015 to introduce him- self in the film and entertainment industry. His goal is to launch an even bigger film company within the next two years. His next project, the feature film Louisiana 1961 , is currently in pre-production to be filmed later this year.
