Even though geothermal projects are economically viable without financial support, such assistance can prove very valuable in furthering development faster and allowing for cooperation and knowledge exchange between different companies in the geothermal sector, thereby facilitating the process for everyone involved. Regional and local governmental authorities should therefore not tire of demanding more support from both their countries’ respective governments and the EU government in Brussels.
