About Verdo energy group Verdo is an international energy group with head office in Randers, Denmark, and activities in the UK, Norway and the USA. Verdo develops, establishes, operates and services CHPs including complete district heating systems. In addition, Verdo is a leading fuel trading company. Verdo is a utility company which produces and distributes electricity, freshwater and district heating. Verdo Varme maintains and develops the district heating network in Randers and covers 95 per cent of the utilities area. The district heating is generated using sustainable biomass at Verdo’s CHP plant in Randers.
ista is one of the world's leading com- panies providing energy management and billing services for improved energy efficiency and transparency of heating and water consumption in buildings; serving over 12 million consumers in apartment buildings and commercial properties across 25 countries. We assist customers, landlords and tenants to de- liver transparency through heat and water metering, heat cost allocation, data col- lection and reporting within Community and District Heating. Formerly Clorius (now ista) founded in Denmark in 1902, we leverage our con- siderable history and experience within our state of the art reporting and billing services. Whether credit or pre-payment systems, we provide clarity and security for landlords and utilities that their con- sumption and heat delivery is appropri- ately and efficiently measured, optimised and billed. With very low investment, en- ergy, costs and CO2 can be significantly reduced. Our comprehensive ‘Meter Data Management’, ‘Energy Management Visualisation’ and 'Billing' platforms, show our customers the cost/savings available and achieved in measuring andmanaging their utilities. We achieve further efficiency gains in buildings by offering supplemen- tary services; including smoke alarms, humidity monitoring, temperature/ climate analysis, energy advice and our energy contracting services.
Solid Energy is part of the Solid Group that delivers engineered solutions for the industrial and renewable market. Solid Energy designs and installs innovative large-scale heat pumps solutions for distributed heat networks, commercial and industrial applications with medium and high demands for heat. Our standard heat pumps solutions are air sourced, but can be applied to any heat source, ground water, waste heat etc. The heat pump system can, depending on clients’ situation, be powered by CHP running on natural gas or electricity from grid or local CHP/generator. Proprietary design features ensure that our heating solutions are the most efficient in the market. With installations in Denmark completed and underway in the UK, we now assist our customer in reducing their fossil fuel consumption by over 50%. With a strong commitment and reinvest- ment into ongoing product development, Solid Energy will continuously offer our customers the most efficient and ad- vanced heating solutions.
In 2016, Verdo had approx. 500 employ- ees and revenue of DKK 2.6 billion.
