It was a good weekend for hockey fans in St-Isidore with their team scoring a pair of wins. St-Isidore caged the Vankleek Hill Cougars February 9 8-2 in a road game in Vankleek Hill. Saturday night was hat trick time for St-Isidore’s Jakob Brunette. Kevin Howson and Patrick Ranger each popped in a pair of goals for the team with Jeremy Arbour finishing the score with a single. Assists on the goals came from Brunette, Howson, Zackary Bougie, Jérémie Bourgon, Philippe Burden, Kalvin Cormier, Frédérik Laflèche, and Sebastien Roy. Sebastien Roy guarded the net. Goals for Vankleek Hill against St-Isidore during the February 9 game came from Samuel Lacroix and Jonathan Lacroix. Fre- derick Durocher and Alexander Labrèche shared net duty. Sunday night at home St-Isidore handed the Bytown Royals a 5-3 loss. No game details were available at press time. Next games on the schedule in the National Capital Junior Hockey League for St-Isidore are February 11 in Chesterville against North Dundas, February 12 at home against Vankleek Hill, February 15 on the road against Gatineau, February 16 in Vankleek Hill, and February 18 against North Dundas. Vankleek Hill The Vankleek Hill Cougars split their latest round of weekend games with one win and one loss. The Cougars crowned the Bytown Royals 8-2 on February 8 with Shayne Allen and Nikolas Ayotte both punching in a pair of goals for Vankleek Hill. Scoring singles for the Cougars were Jonathan Lacroix, Trystan Lavoie, Jonathan Leblanc, and Zacharie Leblanc. Assisting on the goals were Lavoie, both of the Leblancs, Ryan Allen, Nicolas Castonguay, Tyler Dopelhamer, Vincent Huneault, Keean McEachern, and Zakary Phaneuf. Alexandre Labrèche guarded the net. Scoring for the Royals were Jonathan Cauchon and Luigi Peloso, with goal assists coming from Martin Carrière and Alexandre Dionne. Tye Agardy and Danik Gervais shared goal-keeping duty. Goals for Vankleek Hill against Saint- Isidore during the February 9 game came from Samuel Lacroix and Jonathan Lacroix. Frederick Durocher and Alexander Labrèche shared net duty. more wins to their season tally in the Natio- nal Capital Junior Hockey League. The Castors beat the Bytown Royals 6-2 in a Wednesday late-night makeup game February 6 at the Clarence Creek Arena. Vincent Martel and Nathan Melée both punched in a pair of goals for Clarence Creek with fellow Castors Samuel Gaudet and Connor Head-Smith adding single points to the scoreboard. Assisting on the goals were Gaudet, Melée, Tyler Baker, Mickey George, Austin Laprade, and Raphaël Payant. Andrew
Larivière guarded the net. Scoring for Bytown that night were Eric L’Heureux and Joshua Renaud. Renaud also assisted on L’Heureux’s goal. Also assisting on goals were Gregory Knighton and Nicolas Loyer. Tye Agardy was in the net. The Castors beat the Gatineau Hull-Volant 8-3 in a Sunday road game at the Ray Friel Recreation Complex in Orlëans. No game details available at press time.

Les hommes forts de Michel Rivest ont perdu leur dernière partie contre les Rebels de Char-Lan, le 9 février dernier. Ils se sont frappés à un solide mur. Les Vikings de Casselman avaient pourtant bien commencé la première période en étant la seule équipe à ins- crire un but. Joel Hunt, aidé de Gabriel Rousselle, a déjoué le gardien adverse et a enfilé la rondelle dans le filet. Les Rebels n’avaient pas dit leur dernier mot puisqu’au retour sur la glace, en deuxième période, Markell et Fiaco ont marqué chacun leur tour sans laisser de chance aux Vikings de prendre pos- session de la rondelle, tout au long de la période. Et c’est en troisième que tout s’est gâché pour Casselman. Les Rebels ont carrément pris possession de la glace et leur gardien a complètement fermé la porte. Isaac Testani a réussi à trouver le fond du filet en déjouant habilement le gardien des Vikings. Char-Lan a mis un terme à la partie avec une marque finale de 3-1. Les Vikings affrontent Ottawa Ouest, le 14 février, et la forte équipe d’Alexan- dria, le lendemain.

Rien ne va plus pour les Panthères d’Embrun qui ont, une fois de plus, perdu leurs deux dernières parties. On s’ait d’ores et déjà qu’ils ne feront pas partie des séries. Le 8 février dernier, ils ont confronté les Golden Knights d’Ottawa Ouest qui ont vite fait d’ouvrir la marque en première période, prenant une avance de 2-0 sur les Panthères. De retour en deuxième période, Nathan Brown d’Embrun a marqué son cinquième but de la saison, à 13 :21. Mais Ottawa a rapidement répliqué avec deux autres buts, prenant une avance confortable de trois buts. C’était alors 4-1 pour les Golden Knights. Et la troisième période a marqué au fer rouge l’équipe embrunoise. Ottawa a mis un terme à la partie en déjouant le gardien des Panthères à deux reprises. Marque finale : 6-1. Cody MacEachern a été bombardé par les Golden Knights et a reçu 34 tirs. Quant au gardien d’Ottawa, il en a reçu 18, passant à côté d’un jeu blanc, lui qui n’a accordé qu’un seul but. Le 10 février dernier, contre la forte équipe d’Alexandria, les hommes de Darrell Campbell n’ont pas été chanceux une fois de plus. En première période, c’était l’égalité 1-1, et le même scénario s’est répété en seconde période avec un but pour chacune des deux équipes. C’était alors 2-2. Et c’est
