Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University Bachelor of Science, Ocean Engineering, U.S. Naval Academy BOARD OF GOVERNORS SERVICE COMMITTEE SERVICE NONE NONE List areas of expertise or special qualifications that will be of benefit to the ANCC: Civilian, Managed programs, including profit and loss accountability, for multi-million dollar, multi- location expeditionary aviation company. Perform as chief of staff to a large federal agency, leading multi-level leaders and managers across 14 different locations, representing the agency to foreign leaders, and managing a world- wide recognizable brand. Manage relationships with agencies of the executive and legislative branches, finding cooperation and compromise amongst many different groups, finding common ground and executable initiatives amongst audiences with varying and different viewpoints. Previously performed as a legislative staffer in the U.S. Senate on national defense, veterans affairs, and military and civil space policies. Long time golf and country club member in other locations, have performed in advisory roles though none elected. Played competitive golf throughout junior years, including high school and college. Military, Commanded the Navy's sole dedicated special operations support helicopter squadron; 450 officers and sailors with two detachments deployed full time to different combat areas. Bonus command at the Navy's largest aviation training wing; managed commanding officers of six training squadrons’ reserve support teams. Currently a member of a niche innovation unit reporting directly to the Secretary of Defense where I consult on major aerospace research, development, and acquisition. Why do I want to serve on the Board of Governors: As our ANCC mission statement says, we are to "promote social intercourse among those citizens, military and civilian, who are bound together by the fraternal and patriotic spirit of serving the best interests and efficiency of the National Defense.” ANCC has provided me the opportunity to interact with an amazing array of individuals, who, despite our differences, are all bound together by our patriotism and service to the country. This is one of the things that sets ANCC apart from other clubs. Not only do I want to continue being a part of ANCC as a member, both for the comradery and the facilities, but now having been a member for three years, I would like to help serve in leadership of ANCC to ensure that we are always true to our mission and charter.
