With respect to the other Governors, I believe there is a vacancy for someone with my financial expertise and accreditation. My skill set will allow me to serve the Board and Club regarding financial matters such as financial planning and analysis, controls design (i.e., procurement due diligence, cyber threats etc.), and financial literacy. With further capital improvements on the near horizon, it is crucial that the Club is able to make fully informed financial decisions, while leveraging the membership’s diverse expertise. Additionally, I have a background in the golf industry having worked at a number of local golf clubs before I began my audit career. I held a variety of roles including teaching professional and greens staff, which has given me a deep appreciation for the volume of work and planning that goes into running a successful golf operation. If elected I will give Club leadership and staff every opportunity to continue to do their job effectively, which will support the Club’s ascension towards the best Club in the area. Lastly, as a husband and father of two young children, I have insights into the Club from the perspectives of my spouse and children that will be beneficial to my representation on the Board from varied perspectives.
