Nominees for the Board of Governors 2024
Why do I want to serve on the Board of Governors: I hope to serve on the Board of Governors to support the Club's long term strategic goal to ascend up the rankings. The Club is already ranked among the best in the area, but there are some clear improvements that I believe can be made to support this growth. First, the Arlington golf course is in need of upgrades to match its world class Clubhouse and pool, which would in effect make it the best campus in the mid-Atlantic. Specific areas of upgrades would include the practice facility, bunkers, and suggestions from Mr. Andrew Green. Second, the Fairfax Clubhouse needs to be improved in a way that the golf course has been. Although a majority of the membership uses Arlington as its main Club, upgrading amenities at Fairfax would draw in both current members (particularly the many who work in Tyson's area) and new members alike. Lastly, as a father of two young children, I believe Rainbow City can be improved in terms of size, functionality, and capabilities. With such a large and young membership, the childcare function of the Club is in need of upgrades to its hours, cost and age- range to match that of other clubs in the area.
