PLANNING COMMITTEE

CAPT JOE MAHAN, USN, RET., CHAIR The Planning Committee is responsible for developing three essential tools that are used to maintain and protect the Club’s current assets and provide information on how the Club may improve in the future: ANCC Strategic Plan , Facilities Master Plan , and Facilities Maintenance Plan. As directed by the Club Organizational Manual, the Committee also provides oversight and recommendations concerning acquisition, disposition, and utilization of Club property, facilities, and real estate. The Planning Committee plays a key role, in partnership with the Finance Committee, Activity Committees, and the staff, to ensure capital requirements are identified for both obligatory and aspirational funding. Per the Organization Manual: “Every project proposed for inclusion in the Capital Expenditure Budgets will be evaluated and prioritized based on its contribution, impact and merit in maintaining and protecting the investments of the Club, the individual safety of the Club’s members and staff, and its contribution to improving the appeal of the Club to future members and the overall retention of its existing members.”
