USMC (Ret.), and Mr. Robert Cavanaugh for their exceptional efforts serving our Club on the Aquatics Committee this year. Looking ahead, the Aquatics Committee will continue to gather data on usage of both facilities and continue to find ways to improve the overall member experience. Specifically, we will look at capacity issues and enhanced amenities to keep up with the tremendous demand for the region’s top country Club aquatics facility at ANCC.
HOUSE & ENTERTAINMENT COMMITTEE
JUDGE TAMARA W. ASHFORD, CHAIR The focus of the House & Entertainment (H&E) Committee is to enhance/maximize the member experience by setting priorities, policy, and guidance, and doing so by working collaboratively with our exceptional Clubhouse, restaurant, food & beverage, and catering & banquet teams led by Directors of Clubhouse Operations Andrew Welch (Arlington) and Michael Palamara (Fairfax), and Executive Chefs Doug Anderson (Arlington) and Andrew Powers (Fairfax). With that focus in mind, the 2023-2024 year was an excellent one for the H&E Committee and these teams! ______________ Below is a snapshot of the record-setting year H&E had in terms of members served and revenue generated. ANCC Restaurants. Over approximately the past 12 months, dining venues served over 300,000 members and guests generating over $11,270,000 in revenue, with Fairfax accounting for approximately 11% of this combined revenue. Member Events. Our traditional events, Halloween/Fall Fest, Thanksgiving, Holiday seasonal events, Easter, Mother's Day, and Father's Day, served over 8,050 members and guests. This past Independence Day both campuses served over 4,588 members and guests combined, and Rooftop Happy Hours, Burger and Taco Nights, and our themed events (i.e., Halloween, Fall Fest Pumpkin Patch, Valentine’s Day, St Patrick’s Day, Pub Night Trivia, Family Trivia, Scotch & Cigars/Bourbon, BBQ, & Cigars/Tequila, Rum & Cigars, Author Series, Family Bingo, High Tea, Hops n’ Harvest, The Irish Tenors Holiday Concert, Taste of the Region, Ladies' Night Out!, Cars & Coffee, Patio BBQs) had over 10,782 members and guests attend. We held 15 events for Wine Club members, including dinners, receptions, tastings, and wine educations with a total of 2,340 members and guests attending. Catering and Banquets. Our Club booked an amazing average of 215 events per month generating $5,830,000 in catering revenue. Between 1 July 2024 and 31 October 2024, both campuses anticipate generating an additional $3,800,000 in catering revenue. ______________ Not to “rest on our laurels,” we also introduced new H&E events during 2023-2024: New Club Events at Arlington. Summer Casino Night!, 1924 to 2024 – A Century of American Food Classics Rooftop Happy Hour, Travel to the Summer Olympics in Paris Rooftop Happy Hour, Sail Through the Mediterranean Rooftop Happy Hour, It's Country Line Dance Time!, Dinner and a Magic Show, and Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour Movie Night.
