Annual Report of the Chair, Board of Governors And the General and Special Committees 2024
opportunities for further junior activities at FFX with the creation of a room or facility that would provide both inclement weather support and space for expanded activities. The committee sees great value in a short or Par 3 course. Lastly, the opportunity to use Club-provided transportation may allow for more FFX activities while still using Rainbow City for before/after care. Way Forward: The Task Force agreed to use two rubrics to frame their recommendations: 1) Consider policy, program and project options for each activity; 2) frame capacity, draw and incentive options for each activity. Additionally, the Task Force will review themes for its recommendations to the Board and the Membership. These themes will include but are limited to the following: 1) create options that are unique to FFX—make it different than ARL; 2) develop “hang out” options for FFX—cultivate use by creating programs/facilities that align to industry trends; 3) pursue “anything but golf” for FFX, aligning with ClubCorp view that non-golf activities are vital to Club growth; 4) Make golf the focus – all options expand on FFX should be a golf-centric facility for ANCC; 5) Make FFX a fun family destination. The Task Force will host a town hall in September of 2024, date is TBD. The Task Force will present its interim perspective at the October of 2024 Annual Membership meeting. The Task Force remains on track to provide the Board its final recommendations by the Summer of 2025.
