ARMY NAVY COUNTRY CLUB FOUNDATION (ANCCF)

CAPT WILLIAM D. STAHLER, USN, RET., PRESIDENT The ANCC Foundation (ANCCF) has two primary missions: charitable works and Army Navy Country Club (ANCC) history preservation and education. The Foundation’s primary charitable endeavor is the Staff Support Program. The Club history mission focuses upon events that have taken place on or near our two campuses; the historic figures who have been Club members; and the evolution of the Club’s properties, facilities, and golf courses. Charitable Works Staff Support Program (SSP). In partnership with the Club, the ANCCF expanded its needs- based SSP to meet the needs generated by the Coronavirus Pandemic and the resultant staff furloughs. The Foundation’s close cooperation with the ANCC General Manager, the AGMs and the generosity of the membership permitted the Foundation to provide over $205,000 in tax free grants and interest free loans to 195 plus ANCC employees. Although the demands on the program have declined with the passing of the pandemic, the program has continued. Since August 2023 the Foundation has distributed over $9,400 in grants and loans to seven employees. History Preservation and Education The ANCCF is fulfilling its history mission with several initiatives: ANCCF Website (anccfoundation.org): The ANCCF website contains a “treasure trove” of ANCC historical material. ANCC Centennial History: The Foundation is authoring ANCC’s Centennial History 1924-2024 which will be posted on the ANCCF website during the Centennial Year (2024) and continually updated thereafter (a “living history”). “Did Your Know”: A monthly feature of the ANCC Monthly Newsletter. Medal of Honor (MoH) Library: The ANCC Foundation, in coordination with ANCC, dedicated the ANCC Medal of Honor Library with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Veteran’s Day, Nov 11, 2023.
