One of the most impressive plant-based brands in the region has a compelling origin story. OmniFoods’ founder and a committed vegetarian, David Yeung longed for plant-based versions of the dumplings and luncheon meats of his childhood so much that he decided to start a company that made them! Yeung, who was an activist well before he was an entrepreneur established the social movement Green Monday – a petition to the public to give up eating meat one day of every week. Not satisfied with the early success of that movement, Yeung expanded Green Monday’s reach and set up OmniFoods, which is now one of Asia's leading companies in its sector.
