PUTTING "FEET" TO PRAYER There were two little girls from Christian homes who had been taught to pray for help in time of need. One morning as they walked leisurely to school, they looked at a big clock in the window of a store and saw that they were going to be late. One said, “Let’s kneel down and ask God to help us get there on time.” The other one wisely replied, “W hy no, le ts run as fast as we can and pray as we run.” God expects us to put feet to our pray ers. No doubt you have been praying at this season of the year that the Lord would reap a bountiful harvest on the mission field. W ill you put feet to your prayers' and do what you can to win these people for Christ? Every dol lar you send to Biola helps us not only to keep these programs on the air but also to train the more than 1200 young men and women in our five schools. THE PICTURE OF GOD From boys and girls, wonderful illus trations can often be gained. A Sunday school teacher was asking her children what they thought about Jesus; who He is. There was silence for a while and then one little boy responded brightly, “Why teacher, Jesus is the best photograph God ever had taken.” Ever think of it that way? It is true, in the Words of Scripture,, that “no man hath seen God at any time.” That •is the reason for our Lord Jesus Christ’s coming to this eartfi for He reveals the Father to us. This is what the writer of the book of Hebrews meant when, under the inspiration of the Holy Spir it, we read that Jesus Christ is “the brightness of the Father’s glory, the express image of His person.” No won der Christ Himself could say, “He that hath seen me hath seen the Father.” For those of us who would see the Lord today let us remember that “Jesus is the best photograph God ever had taken.” 27 The surest way to make it hard for our children is to make it soft for them.

Colby Swan of Paris Hill, Maine, is one of the 22 students giving testimonies on the Biola Hour this month. Mr. Swan’s unusual background makes his a thrilling story. Radio Questions (continued) 2:7.) In Biblical terminology when it says the son is begotten of the Father that dQes not mean in the terms "of human experience or human activity. To our finite minds it is the only way to show the intimate, blessed, unbreak able bond, between the first person of the Trinity and the second. A relation ship of earth is used. All members of the Trinity are eternal. HAVE YOU STARTED? Some of us have started late in life in an effort to be effective, witnesses for Christ. It is impossible now, because of age, fam ily responsibilities, or health, to go to school and train to be a mis sionary, preacher, or spiritual leader. But no matter our age, there are things we can do right now, where we are, as effective witnesses for Christ. A little boy told the puffing man who had missed his commuter train one day, “Sir, it wasn’t because you didn’t run fast enough. It was because you didn’t start soon enough.’’ The way to multi ply your life now is to invest in other lives, who, in turn, w ill be able to reach still others for the Lord Jesus Christ. That is what we invite you to do as you share in the ministry of the Bible Institute of Los Angeles through the training of young men and women for Christian service around the world.
